Gaymers iNC turns 10 with epic day of celebration in London
For a whole decade Gaymers iNC. has been bringing LGBTQ+ gamers and allies together across London. To celebrate turning 10, the team are planning a huge day of celebration on Saturday 29 November featuring gaming (both video games and board games), live performances, cocktails/mocktails, food and plenty of surprises at The Ministry, London.
What’s happening?
To celebrate ten years, the team is bringing together their community and games industry professionals for a full day of gayming and geekery! There will be cabaret in the evening, hosted by SlayStation, a board game room for tabletop fans, competitive tournaments with prizes to be won, and a dedicated arcade for casual gaming.
Hosted at The Ministry, the venue will be broken down like this:
- The Arena: Smash Ultimate, Tekken 8, Towerfall, Just Dance, tournaments + other games with incredible prizes.
- The Main Stage: Cabaret magic from the incredible SlayStation, performing throughout the day.
- The Guild Hall: Cosy boardgame area hosted by Alex and Ben.
- The Bar: Themed cocktails/mocktails, tasty food and happy hour!
Performing throughout the day with multiple slots scheduled in both the day and evening sessions, the Cabaret on the Main Stage is a real highlight of the event, presented by the iconic SlayStation. Six performers will be bringing their best gaymer drag looks and numbers to the stage including Velvet Caveat, Lady Vanity, Clay Taurus, Miss Terri Boxx, Loose Willis and Asttina Mandella from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
What is Gaymers iNC?
Gaymers iNC. is a community of over 6000 LGBTQ+ geeks and gamers who share one mission: to play video games, make lasting friendships and geek-out. They host a monthly gaming spectacular where gaymers can come together, be themselves, and build meaningful relationships. They also host a monthly quiz, cinema trips, boardgames and adventure activities for the athletically inclined.
The group first started in 2015 by a group of three friends who would meet at home in Clapham to play videos games together. They quickly realised that games were a great way to bond – and the perfect ice-breaker for newcomers to the group. It’s when Yusif created Gaymers iNC. and made it their mission to welcome all LGBTQ+ gamers into the fold.
Tickets
To ensure everyone can join in the fun and to prevent any overcrowding, the days has been split into three options offering flexibility to all:
- Day Session (2pm – 6.30pm) – £5
- Evening Session (7pm – midnight) – £5
- All-Day Pass (2pm – midnight) – £7.50
There’s a short break in between sessions to reset and freshen things up before the next wave of partygoers arrive.
