Rune Factory 5 story trailer shows an epic adventure

In the latest Rune Factory 5 trailer we are treated to the sight of the sleepy town of Rigbarth, a place that is well-known for its harmonious relationship with nature. However, something unusual is about to shift and change the runes that have kept the town safe by governing the balance between humanity and nature. Something that’ll change Rigbarth forever.

It’s this concept that makes up the story trailer of Rune Factory 5, recently released by Marvelous Europe, and can be viewed for yourself, below.

With threats popping up all over the Norad Kingdom, it’s up to you, the newest recruit of the peacekeeping organisation known as SEED, to help make a difference. The only downside is that you don’t actually remember who you are, and it shows in your lack of experience too.

With such a mediocre start, you have no choice but to put 110% in and prove yourself to the people of Rigbarth and work alongside them. This could lead to flourishing friendships, more combat experience, experiencing new adventures together, and a whole lot more. Maybe you can even get a little closer?

Rune Factory 5 is the very first time in the entire series that LGBTQ+ players will get to experience same-sex romance and relationships with the companion characters. Previously only heterosexual relationships were available, meaning LGBTQ+ players were left out from experiencing the same joy in romancing their favourite character.

The characters that players are able to romance this time around are Lyka, Lucas, Martin, Murakumo, Cecile, Reinhard, Beatrice, Ludmila, Fuqua, Lucy, Priscilla, and Scarlett.

Other features that players can look forward to, as conveyed in the latest Rune Factory 5 story trailer, is fast-paced action combat – which encourages strategy and teamwork between you and your companions – and a relaxing life simulation where players can enjoy farming and go to grand festivals. Who doesn’t want to smooch the love of their life while looking at fireworks, right?

Players will be able to experience the story of Rune Factory 5 when the game launches on March 25 for the Nintendo Switch.
