Gayming Live: Relive the Soho Radio Takeover
In addition to all the awesome things that happened at the first ever Gayming Live (Mon 30 Sept – Sat 5 Oct 2019), we hosted a live radio show for two hours each day on Soho Radio!
Featuring interviews, panels discussions, drag queen game reviews and more, the Gayming Live Takeover of Soho Radio was hugely successful, and we played some awesome video game soundtracks!

Day One – Monday 30 Sept
On Day One, we talked about what it means to be a gaymer, we were joined in the studio by the drag queen developer Kitty Powers, and we launched the Find Your Player 2 campaign with the gay connections app Chappy.

Day Two – Tuesday 1 Oct
On Day Two, we talked about a publishing company with a diverse ethos, the rise of mobile gaming, and what more companies can be doing to protect LGBTQ people online.

Day Three – Wednesday 2 Oct
On Day Three, it was Careers Day! We talked about careers advice with Amiqus Recruitment, talked to students from the University of Brighton about their studies, and talked to someone who climbed all the way up through their company.

Day Four – Thursday 3 Oct
On Day Three, we talked about the importance of diversity both in games and in real life. We were joined by two writers from Fusebox Games to talk about writing authentic LGBTQ stories in games. We also talked about what more can companies do to support their LGBTQ workers and found out more about the Ukie Diversity Census.
