Get the full The Witcher Netflix treatment with these mods for the Witcher 3
The Witcher 3 came out in 2015, but it’s recently had a rise in players thanks to the release of the TV series, The Witcher, that came out on Netflix on December 20th last year. Since then, the fanbase has gone wild with videos, fanart, memes, and even fanfiction. Even better, you can get the full Witcher Netflix treatment on PC thanks to a variety of mods that have been uploaded online.
Mods have always been a way for players to improve their game and make it match their personal tastes. And we knew the moment that the Witcher series was announced that, no matter if it did terribly or not, there would be mods out there that wanted to replicate and cross the divide between the world of TV and video games.
So we’re not too surprised that there are mods out there that will not only let you mod Geralt to look like Henry Cavill, but will even let you listen to that rather pesky, but incredibly catchy song from Jaskier (Dandelion) whenever you open up the game.
Here are just a few of the Witcher 3 mods that you can install to make your game look like it belongs on Netflix…
Yennefer/Anya Chalotra Mod and Retexture
The original mod for an Anya Chalotra Yennefer was already pretty cool, but the retexture from ReplicantPolice improves the look to make Yennefer actually look more like the actress that we’ve all come to know and love.
The Henry Cavill/Geralt Mod
You knew it was coming and we don’t like to disappoint. This mod does exactly what it says on the tin – make Geralt into Henry Cavill. Or vice versa. Just know that you get a chin that looks like a bum now, which is always my favourite kind of chin.
Toss A Coin to Your Witcher Mod
We saw a mod that included this song in Witcher 1, but why keep it to the original game when the best game of the Witcher series is right there? This mod only works on the opening menu, but mod creator BoxManLocke has said that they are looking to add it elsewhere later on.
There are, no doubt, more mods to come. For example, we’ve yet to see a mod making the Triss from the show come to life just yet – but we’re more than eager for when that day comes.
Until then, we hope these mods can keep you Witcher 3 fans satisfied.
