20 Questions: Stef Sanjati

Welcome to the new 20 Questions feature, this month’s 20 Questions are aimed at Stef Sanjati. Stef is a Canadian gaming & beauty creator, host, and trans advocate. She’s the Breadmom of the Breadsquad and is ready to face our 20 Questions!

20 Questions is our new monthly feature that helps you get to know your favorite LGBTQ+ content creators more. 10 of the questions are the same each month, 10 are specific to the creator. Across this quick fire set of questions, the content creator’s answers will help lift the lid on their life both on stream and off stream.

You can follow Stef on these channels:

1. What game made you feel seen for the first time?

I felt seen for the first time playing Pokémon Ruby – it was the first game I played that offered a gender choice! “Are you a boy, or a girl?”

2. What’s your comfort game when the internet is being awful?

World of Warcraft; I’ve played for 22 years, and it never lets me down when times get tough.

3. What comment are you most tired of seeing?

“What’s wrong with your face?” – I always want to say, “Nothing,” but instead I explain Waardenburg Syndrome again and again. I don’t mind questions; I just appreciate them being phrased thoughtfully!

4. What’s one thing you wish your audience asked you more?

I wish they asked me for more hot takes. Folks often see me as extremely polite & gentle, which I appreciate, but I have hot takes too!

5. What’s your biggest offline guilty pleasure?

Girl, delivery food, 100%. I have had delivery food & TV show traditions in every era of my life: Chinese delivery & Charmed, burger delivery & Bob’s Burgers, Indian delivery & Law & Order… it just keeps happening.

6. What’s the first thing you do once you log off after a stream or upload?

I lay on the floor with my dog, then I eat something with bread.

7. What’s the last thing you learned that had nothing to do with content?

I’m learning Portuguese right now as a personal project! So far, so good! Até aqui, tudo bem.

8. Who in your life is completely unimpressed by your follower count?

Everyone, ideally, but I’m sure that isn’t true. I’d like for folks to be impressed by what I do, or my knowledge, more than my follower count.

9. What’s the messiest corner of your home right now?

Technically everything – I’m in the middle of moving, and my entire life is in boxes! I’m living out of three suitcases, and I’m making it work.

10. What’s the most embarrassing thing in your bag right now.

My passport – I had the photo taken when I was super duper depressed, and now it looks nothing like me. It looks like an angry bird woman. Bless her (my) heart.

11. You’re the Breadmom of the Breadsquad. What’s the most chaotic thing the Breadsquad has ever done?

I don’t know about chaotic, but I’ve had some very surprising gifts at meet-and-greets! One very talented young person brought me a whole traditionally painted portrait, which is still one of my most treasured items.

12. In your past role as Head Narrative Designer for Paidia, which of your characters was secretly you?

Oh, wow, throwback! I actually made a concerted effort for none of them to be secretly me, but there are parts of me in all of them. I put a lot of my personal philosophies at the time into the worldbuilding – an emphasis on empathy, collective care, sustainability, etc.

13. What’s the smallest change a studio could make tomorrow to make the industry more welcoming?

One of the best things studios can do in online gaming is take toxicity seriously and crack down on it more aggressively. Racist harassment, for example, should earn a person a permanent ban without hesitation. Seems like a small change, but it would have an enormous impact.

14. Which do you take more seriously: your makeup or your Mythic+ runs?

Unironically, I treat both with the same intensity and philosophy: practice and repetition make perfect, there is no bad run; there are only learning opportunities. Both!

15. Which home project started out as DIY until you had to admit defeat and call a contractor?

Now that I am a single lady on my own again, literally all of them. I have little to no DIY skills with home reno – if I hang a shelf, you are lucky if it stays on the wall.

16. Where were you when you found out you’d made the Twitch Women’s Guild, and who did you tell first?

I was at my desk in my home office, and I believe I told my community first during my livestream! I was so thrilled to be a part of something like that.

17. You host on e.l.f.’s Twitch channel and run your own shows. What does an actual day off look like?

I wish I could tell you – I don’t know the last time I took a proper “day off”. Even on days that I don’t stream or record or edit, I am posting on socials or answering emails. I could use SEVERAL days off though – thank you for the inspo!

18. When did you last do a full face of makeup with no camera involved?

At BlizzCon 2026, I did my makeup in the evening just to spend time with a friend! I like to put in effort for people, and showing up polished is part of that for me.

19. Your 300K-subs special was called “Let’s Bake Bread!” Have you baked anything since?

I have baked cookies, but I am dreadfully ashamed to say I have not baked bread since that day. Maybe some bread-baking streams are in my future?

20. What’s your go-to bread, and is it a personality red flag?

Nothing will ever beat eating a dry baguette out of the bag like a Lord of the Rings dwarf. You have to chomp down on it and rip at it like it’s meat. Feel the carbs stretch and snap before you chew. Respect the bread. Honour the bread. Join the Breadsquad.
