Life is Strange creators announce new title Lost Records: Bloom and Rage at The Game Awards 2023
During the 2023 Game Awards, DONT NOD Montreal, the creators of Life is Strange, announced their next game project – Lost Records: Bloom and Rage.
The game is another narrative adventure, which DONT NOD first started teasing earlier this year. This time following four friends who experience a transformative summer in 1995. After 27 years of no contact, Nora, Swann, Autumn, and Kat are reunited by fate and forced to confront the long-buried secret that made them agree to never speak again all those years ago.
From the brief teaser trailer we got to see during the Game Awards, it looks like two of the girls may have dated during the summer of ’95, potentially adding some sapphic drama to the pot alongside the group’s deep, dark secret. It also looks like the four of them were in a band together, which seems to be where the game’s title, Lost Records: Bloom and Rage stems from.
There isn’t a lot else to go on from this trailer, other than that the group’s shared secret seems to have something to do with aliens or the supernatural, as we see the girls as teens looking into a pit of some kind that is glowing with pink light.
According to the trailer and the game’s website, Lost: Records: Bloom and Rage is scheduled to release some time in late 2024. It is planned to release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
