Original Life is Strange team teases new narrative game

A new game from the original team behind the Life is Strange series has been teased via a job listing posted on social media platform, Twitter.

The job listing can be viewed below and on Twitter, where the team at DON’T NOD also included an image of their upcoming game. The listing mentions a “new narrative game”, which is exactly what the original team of the first Life is Strange game is well-known for.

From a quick glance, we can gather that this game will take place in the late 1980’s, maybe even 1990’s era. Even the listing asks whether the image brings back any “childhood memories”, making us wonder if, like Life is Strange, we won’t exactly be playing through a ‘modern tale’ this time around. There’s the VHS tapes, the old-timey TV, and the SNES-looking console, but outside of this tease, there isn’t much to indicate what the game could be about.

The developers at DON’T NOD have indicated they are moving on from the Life is Strange series back in 2021. Why? According to CEO Oskar Guilbert, the team wanted to create their own IPs and focus on them, and while the CEO did state “never say never” we doubt there will be another Life is Strange game from the DON’T NOD team any time soon.
