No Longer Home releases July 30 for PC
No Longer Home, a game from developer Humble Grove and publisher Fellow Traveller, is set to release on July 30th for PC.
A semi-autographical game, No Longer Home was featured at E3 2021 and as such was included in our most inclusive games list. It’s a game about Bo and Ao, two non-binary university graduates that are set to leave their home – the flat they’ve been living in for a whole year. But it’s much more complicated than just leaving: Ao will be going back to Japan due to visa limitations, whilst Bo is left behind in England.
With such uncertain futures ahead of them and feeling completely and utterly disillusioned by life after leaving education, Bo and Ao try to come to terms with everything that’s happening. Only, they aren’t completely alone, because under their flat…a new flatmate awaits them.
Players will need to explore and examine the flat of Bo and Ao. This means going through their belongings and learning new things about the two protagonists, as well as going through the day-to-day activities like having a BBQ, playing video games, and sometimes just staying up and talking in bed until the very early hours of the morning. If you didn’t get the idea already, this game is and feels very intimate in how it presents itself.
The demo is available to play over on Steam, and if you can’t wait until July 30 to get to know more about Bo and Ao, you can play the prequel to the game: No Longer Home: Friary Road over on itch.io. The prequel will be added alongside a purchase of No Longer Home for free.
