The Sims 4 producer recognizes they need to do more in regards to inclusivity

The Sims is a series that has steadily improved with each new game. But not everything has been perfected, particularly the lack of inclusivity of non-white skin tones in The Sims 4.

Thanks to VideoGamer, we know that The Sims 4 producer Lyndsay Pearson has acknowledged that “there is much more for us to do” when it comes to inclusivity within the series. And while we’ve talked a number of times at how the series from EA has continued to champion diversity in other ways, we acknowledge it still has a lot of things that it’s missing. So much so, that just a glance at the series modding community will be enough to enlighten you on a number of issues.

Pearson mentioned the modding community also, stating that “the team is blown away by the incredible craftsmanship of our mod community. But despite the creative talent, it “does not absolve us from continuing to grow and improve as well.”

According to VideoGamer, in order to improve The Sims 4 will be adding more skin tones, as well as upgrading the quality of existing skin tones sometime this year.
