My Time at Sandrock brings babies to town with brand new update

My Time at Sandrock was met with a considerably jumpy reception by us at launch, but since then, has managed to pull it around with updates and bug fixes. Now, the Nintendo Switch version is receiving its first free major content update, and you know what that means: babies.

Like many farming sims before it, My Time at Sandrock gives players the option to find love. And with that love comes babies, with the update now providing the option to raise a perfect child with your chosen partner.

That isn’t the only thing that players have to look forward to, however.

For players who are keen on exploring and finding out new things, Pathea have been hard at work to include a brand new area to explore: the Northern Starship Hazardous Ruins. There players will be able to find and earn valuable resources, all while putting their skills to the test.

There’s even more good news for players who love the romance side of things. It won’t be just babies at My Time at Sandrock, but extra marital bliss with dozens of new romance side quests for your favourite characters. This includes:

  • Fang
  • Logan
  • Nia
  • Qi
  • Grace
  • Amirah
  • Owen
  • Ernest
  • Catori
  • Jane
  • Unsuur
  • Pablo
  • Venti
  • Burgess
  • Elsie

Alongside raising children, there will also be special marital side quests. What those quests are remains to be seen, but whatever it is, you’ll be able to brave it together with a new option to ask your partner to follow you around in your day-to-day activities. At least they won’t get lost!

There’s also something for players who love to accessorise as well as socialize! This update grants the ability to dress up NPCs around Sandrock in brand new costumes, and you can even save these precious outfits with a group photo feature. Everyone is looking fresh to death.

Oh, and players who want a bit more scruff on their chin? More beard options are available now too.

Most importantly, Pathea Games goal is to have the Nintendo Switch verson of My Time at Sandrock to be just as efficient and up to scratch as the games other platforms, such as the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Above is a video to show players just how improved the game’s performance is since it’s November launch.

My Time at Sandrock is available to play now on Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
