Humble Choice offers some tricks (and treats) this October
Humble Choice is offering something extra spoopy this October, with a range of horror and action-adventure games that’ll get players into the festive spirit.
For those who may not know, each month Humble offers a selection of high-quality PC games for its members through Humble Choice. These games are able to be kept forever, regardless if you remain a member or not.
This October, Humble Choice wants to get you into Halloween with The Quarry: Deluxe Edition, Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes, and Metal: Hellsinger.
In The Quarry, players are thrust into the story of a group of camp counselors who — after some level of sabotage — are forced to stay an extra night in camp instead of going home. Only, they aren’t alone, and there’s an awful lot of howling to be heard in the woods. What will this mean for them, and will they survive throughout the night?
Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes is the third game to come from Supermassive Games and, as you may have predicted, is the third game in the anthology series. A cinematic masterpiece, House of Ashes tells the harrowing story of an Iraq War Special Forces group whose hunt for WMDs goes awry when they find themselves trapped underground.
That leaves us with Metal: Hellsinger, an intuitive and exciting rhythm-driven first-person shooter that does exactly what it says on the tin by embracing heavy-metal influences. It has an all-original metal soundtrack, with songs from artists like Lamb of God, and System of a Down, and it’ll let you do something you’ve probably always wanted to do: melt your way through endless demonic hordes with guns and music. What’s not to love?
Other titles for this month’s Humble Choice are Lords and Villeins, Rebel Inc.: Escalation, A Juggler’s Tale, Mr. Prepper, and Spirit of the Island.
