Story-rich RPG New Arc Line heads to consoles and PC
New Arc Line, a narrative-heavy, story-rich, and turn-based RPG from developers Dreamate and publisher Fulqrum Publishing, is coming to consoles and PCs.
In a world where the wonders of magic go up against the grimy but revolutionary beginnings of steampunk, players are thrust into a conflict that will give them the power to shape the metropolis city of New Arc.
Roleplaying games have continued to have fantastic games added to the genre, with huge hits like Baldur’s Gate 3 bringing new life and standards to what players expect from the worlds that we explore in RPGs. New Arc Line looks to continue with that trend in a more urban fantasy setting that will explore themes such as segregation, inequality, and corruption within the city.
In order to survive, players will need to start from the bottom and work their way up. Whether they’ll be a hero, a villain, or something in between, however, is entirely up to them and the decisions they make.
Moral alignment isn’t the only thing that Dreamate puts in the player’s hands. Character creation will allow players to choose whether they are a Human, Elf, Dwarf, or Giant, their gender, and background, as well as their general appearance. It’s not confirmed whether or not pronouns will be available to be selected.
New Arc Line won’t have players standing alone, however. The metropolis is full of different people, some of which are able to be recruited. You can either get closer to them and learn who they really are, or discard them to fit your schemes
Romance also plays a part in New Arc Line, however, whether same-sex options are available is yet to be confirmed.
New Arc Line will release for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, but does not yet have a release date.
