Drag queen streamer DEERE announced for 2023 Horror Game Awards jury

On Sunday evening, the Horror Game Awards announced that drag queen Twitch Partner DEERE will serve on this year’s awards jury. This will be the second iteration of the awards, as they put on their first showcase in 2022.

“🕯️ ANNOUNCEMENT 🕯️ We’re happy to announce that @dearDEERE will be a jury member at this year’s @HorrorGameAwards,” The Horror Game Awards tweeted. “Welcome aboard!”

The Horror Game Awards is a relatively new showcase, having first debuted last year in 2022. The aim of these awards is to recognize and celebrate the best that horror gaming has to offer on a yearly basis. This year’s awards will be streamed live on YouTube in December.

DEERE has been streaming drag and horror games on Twitch since 2016, and has become a full-fledged Partner in that time. She also started and is a member of Team Stream Queens, an “all-Drag troupe of content creators including Kings, Queens, Characters & Creatures on Twitch.” Though the team’s applications are currently closed, they now have over 30 members.

DEERE streams a variety of horror titles, ranging from Dead by Daylight, to Resident Evil, to Courage the Cowardly Dog: Pharaoh Phobia. Beyond that, she also showcases different makeup and body art looks on stream as well.

Horror fans can see what games DEERE and her fellow jurors chose as the best of the best during The Horror Game Awards livestream on YouTube in December.
