Errant Kingdom launches out of early access

Errant Kingdom, a queer-inclusive fantasy visual novel from developer Lunaris Games, has officially launched out of early access.

Previously the game moved away from its episodic format for a number of different reasons, with the most major being the strain the COVID-19 pandemic had put on the small team. Since then, updates have been slow but measured, with the developer also working on their upcoming game, Call Me Under.

Errant Kingdom tasks place in the Kingdom of Novus, a world steeped in political intrigue and dastardly deeds, where dishonor and betrayal, as well as hope and despair, reigns freely among its people. As a denizen of Novus, the player plays an important role in the events of Errant Kingdom. They can see the kingdom rise, or fall, and it is all dependent on their choices.

Along the way, the player has the option of eight romance routes, six individual options and two polyamorous. Romance is not mandatory however, and you are also able to finish the story alone.

The team over at Lunaris Games have confirmed the status of Errant Kingdom as officially complete over on Steam and itch.io. With an update of 190,000 words, 22 CGs and 23 end cards (good and bad endings), the team at Lunaris Games have suplexed the game from early access. A major win for players who were desperately chomping at the bit to to see how the game would end. Us included!

Now that Errant Kingdom is complete, Lunaris Games is now solely working on Call Me Under – a queer, narrative-driven eldritch noir visual novel. It will release later in the year for PC and Mac.

Errant Kingdom is available to play on PC and Mac now.
