Desta: The Memories Between comes to PC and Nintendo Switch this April

Desta: The Memories Between from ustwo games is heading to two new platforms this April. The game, previously released on mobile, is heading to the Nintendo Switch and PC.

Previously released on Netflix, Desta: The Memories Between follows non-binary protagonist Desta as they explore a multi-dimensional dream world — all while playing a turn-based surreal ball game. As you progress, you’ll get to unlock and explore new tactics that’ll help you win.

The game has been described as a ‘character-driven rogue-like’ that combines immersive story-telling with turn-based strategy”. So even if you’re not all that convinced by the sports side of it, Desta’s story will unfold as you continue to play. Ustwo games have also promised mysterious, suspense and plenty of “big emotions” waiting for the player.

Desta won’t be on their own, either. Their friends and family play a significant part in their multi-dimensional adventure and, alongside our non-binary protagonist – will all be fully voice-acted too.

This narrative-focused experience from Ustwo games is said to contain “themes of self-reflection, anxiety, mental health, loss of parental figures and gender identity.”

The game coming to PC and Nintendo Switch will also have a brand-new look with Desta: The Memories Between: Dream Team Edition. This edition will include the base game, as well as all major content updates, the game’s soundtrack and the digital art book of 52 pages. There will also be new characters, game modes, abilities and memoria to explore.

Desta: The Memories Between will release on PC and the Nintendo Switch on April 23, 2023.
