Calico: Pawsome Edition is coming out this week
On Monday, publisher Whitethorn Games and developer Peachy Keen Games announced that Calico: Pawsome Edition is coming out on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S on December 22. This version of the game comes with several quality of life updates and even new gameplay features.
In Calico, players are given the important task of trying to re-open their town’s local cat café and get things back in swing. . That said, it’s not just all about cats. Players are able to interact with and befriend all of the different kinds of animals that are wandering around the woods near town. This includes anything from cats and dogs to bears. You’re also able to ride the animals, like bears, that are big enough, making travelling around easier and more fun. Once you’ve befriended these critters, you can cuddle them, pet them, dance with them, have them join your party, and send them to hang out at the café.
In Calico: Pawsome Edition, new animals are coming to the game. The update is also bringing a UI and visual overhaul to the game. Players will be able to customize the wallpapers and floors of the café while inside it as well. But the biggest feature coming with this update is a brand new cooking mini game. The cooking that players are used to in this game will be greatly expanded with Calico: Pawsome Edition. Each recipe now has its own set of mini-games to play through in order to successfully make the food. Your accuracy while playing these mini-games will award you a gold, silver, or bronze star, which will provide different bonuses to sale prices in your café. But be aware, if customers buy all your fresh food, the star bonuses will disappear until you remake the recipe again.
Players will be able to get their paws on Calico: Pawsome Edition for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S on December 22.
