Vampire: The Masquerade battle royale game Bloodhunt releases today
Vampire: The Masquerade battle royale spin-off game, Bloodhunt, releases today for the PS5 and PC.
The game, from developers Sharkmob, originally released into early access last year in 2021, and since then has been making some serious strides into making the bloodthirsty world of Vampire: The Masquerade the perfect playground for players looking to get stuck into Bloodhunt.
Set in Prague, Bloodhunt pits players against one another in a vampiric free-for-all that asks you combine your powers with weapons and gear you purchase and/or find. This, of course, includes hunting down your rivals (and NPCs) down to drink their blood and grow stronger.
What’s more, you can customize your characters, with different clothes and other features unlocking as you continue to play. You can even choose your own Vampire Clan, allowing players to put a little bit of roleplay into their battle royale.
The game also features no pay-to-win mechanics, meaning that whether you’re returning to the game or just getting started, you won’t be punished for having less playtime than someone else. This is due to Sharkmob wanting Bloodhunt to have a more “player-focused mentality.”
“We’re so excited that players are able to jump back into the action after our invaluable Early Access period last year and see all the great additions our team has made to the game. We’re a very passionate team, committed deeply to the Vampire: The Masquerade universe and its lore as well as great gameplay and a truly thrilling and unique experience for players new to the world. We’re so happy to be sharing the full version with our great community and can’t wait to see what people think,” shares David Sirland, Producer for Bloodhunt.
Looking for a way to sate your thirst? Bloodhunt is available to play today on the PS5 and PC via platform Steam. And the best thing about it? It’s completely free and there’s cross-play.
