Life is Strange: Remastered Collection release date moves to February 2022

The Life is Strange: Remastered Collection’s release date has felt a little like the foosball that lives in Alex Chen’s apartment: constantly being passed from one end to the next. Considering we’re still wading our way through a global pandemic though, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise.

However, the wait for a confirmed release date is now officially over: the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection will be rewinding us back to the past on February 1st, 2022.

Life is Strange originally released back in 2015 and lit the queer, gaming world up like a bonfire with its queer characters Max Caulfield and Chloe Price. Most of all, it was a story that kept us all on the edge of our seats as we followed protagonist Max and her best friend Chloe in their investigation of the whereabouts of a missing girl.

The collection doesn’t just include the first game though, but the prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm. In Before the Storm, players take on the role of Chloe Price as she stumbles her way through Arcadia and falls in love (or friendship, if you wanna be a coward about it) with the mysterious Rachel Amber.

And if these two games coming together in one collection isn’t enough to excite you, wait until you hear about the improved character and environmental visuals, the new engine, as well as the innovative fully motion-captured facial animation. Wowzers!

The Life is Strange: Remastered Collection will release on February 1st, 2022 on Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

To keep up to date with the new remaster, you can visit the official Life is Strange blog or – and we recommend this latter option for sure – keep an eye on Gayming Magazine. We’ll keep you up to date with all the latest news from this incredible series.

In the meantime, why not check out our review of the latest Life is Strange game, Life is Strange: True Colors? We’re completely cereal when we say it’s worth your time.

  • LIS would totally had lesbian romance if times were different even that few years ago. Things have improved sooo much since then; She-Ra, Owl House, and in terms of video games with the latest LIS. Such a shame that Chloe and Max never got an in depth relationship instead of just one half-kiss, and another kiss if you chose literally the worst ending of anything ever (what monster would kill our edge queen?)
I wish the remastered version would add some romance, but obvs its just better graphics i guess? meh.
