Dead by Daylight to head to next-gen consoles this month

Next-gen consoles are finally arriving in people’s homes, ushering in a new age of next-gen that, even with the world being as terrible at is in 2020, will no doubt bring joy to gamers. And that joy doesn’t stop there for horror fans, who will be delighted to hear that Dead by Daylight is heading to next-gen consoles this month.

The news came from the official Behavior Interactive blog, where it was revealed that the massively popular multiplayer horror game will be arriving on the Xbox Series X/S on November 10th, and November 12th for the PS5 in Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Korea and the United States. Players in other countries can expect to play the game on November 19th.

Players who owned the game on previous consoles will have the chance to get a free upgraded version on next-gen consoles, as well as receiving their old cosmetics and progression – so no starting from scratch!

It’s also been confirmed that Dead by Daylight will be available on Xbox Game Pass for Console – allowing gamers with the Ultimate Game Pass the opportunity to face trials on their Android mobile phone or tablet, making Dead by Daylight a portable experience. You can even redeem a new Perk for free, as well as earning characters Kate Denson and the Clown to their roster, alongside two new outfits.

Dead by Daylight isn’t just heading to next-gen without some upgrades, however. The game will at 60 fps and 4K on new consoles. Moreover, the Realm Beyond Graphical update will continue and the team will release regular content drop for free, as is the case on all other platforms.

It looks to be an exciting future for Dead by Daylight, one that we can’t wait to witness for ourselves on the Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
