[Rumour] Dead by Daylight coming soon to PS5 and Xbox Series X

With no definite release date in sight, the possibility of Dead by Daylight coming ‘soon’ to PS5 and Xbox Series X seems laughable at best. What does soon even mean, especially in a year like this, where soon could actually just be delayed for another couple of months?

However, the asymmetrical horror game from Behavior Interactive really may be coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Discovered on the leaks sub-community LeaksDBD, the original poster shows a cropped image of code that seems to show what platforms Dead by Daylight is available on. You have your obvious PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Switch. But those aren’t the only platforms that appear. Looking closer, you’ll notice that the PS5 and Xbox Series X are also listed.

Now, as you can see from the original post, the image is extremely cropped and there’s no real solid proof that this is true. Nonetheless, this subreddit has known to be very accurate, having revealed previous characters and events months in advance. With a reputation like that, it’s hard to not at least consider that this rumour could, in fact, be true.

There’s also the fact that the new consoles are being prepared to release later on in the year. While ‘soon’ is perhaps an overstatement, Dead by Daylight has become a very popular game over the years, having even included killers and survivors from other franchises like Halloween and Silent Hill. If there was a horror game that had the possibility of coming to the new consoles, it wouldn’t be out of the question for it to be Dead By Daylight. Regardless, until we get any confirmation, take this all with a pinch of salt.

In the meantime, check out what we think of Dead by Daylight’s new killer and survivor in our latest post.
