The Witcher 3 is coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021.
CD Projekt Red have announced that the massive fantasy series, which got quite the rise in player count when the Netflix series first aired last year, will get an updated version for next-gen consoles.
The update will be free for players who have already brought the game in the past, and it doesn’t matter if you bought digital, or physical. You’ll still get the chance to see Geralt in all his next-gen beauty.
Explaining what comes next, The Witcher website states that this upgraded version of the game will “take advantage of the most powerful gaming hardware” and will feature “a range of visual and technical improvements — including ray tracing and faster loading times — across the base game, both expansions, and all extra content.”
Of course, if you have yet to play the game for yourself, The Witcher 3 will be available to buy for the PS5 and Xbox Series X as a standalone purchase.
