Dead by Daylight cross-play is finally here
Dead by Daylight cross-play has been a hot topic among fans of the asymmetrical horror game, and we originally talked about when we thought we’d see this feature implemented a few weeks back. So, to say that we’re shocked cross-play has come to Dead by Daylight already is the biggest understatement of the year.
Released yesterday, cross-play allows players from both PC, Switch, Xbox One, and PS4 to play together. Stadia will also be included when Dead by Daylight launches on the platform. Unfortunately, mobile fans were not included in this, but considering that version was made by a different team, and there are a fair few different mechanics, this doesn’t come as too much of a surprise.
In the FAQ that Behavior Interactive released, the developers outlined what cross-play means, how it affects gameplay, and how to add people from different platforms, alongside a quick update about cross-progression.
PC and console players are enough to get everyone feeling nervous, especially as mouse and keyboard have better control than a controller. That said, if you opt in on cross-play, you may just have the chance to go against big streamers like Elix and Otzdarva. Pros and cons to everything, folks.
