Stardew Valley may be getting a physical release for Switch
Stardew Valley has always been a game that we’re quite fond of, so the possibility of a physical release? Well, sign us right up! In Japan the game got its own physical release in January 2019, but now the West may also be receiving the same treatment.
This news comes from a teasing tweet by Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone. On the 15th of April, a fan asked whether there was any chance of a physical release of Stardew Valley in the West. The reply was simple and straight to the point.
Of course, as Siliconera pointed out, Nintendo Switch games can be played on a system regardless of where you purchased them. It also helps that the Japanese version included an English language option. Still, the possibility of being able to have a physical copy is going to be more than enough reason for collectors to purchase Stardew Valley.
In other news, Barone has confirmed that banana trees will be heading to the Valley in the next update. When that update will be has yet to be confirmed, but if it’s as big and thrilling as the previous update, we’re more than willing to wait.
Stardew Valley is available on near every modern console, including PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
