Stardew Valley Orchestral CD reaches its Kickstarter goal

The Stardew Valley soundtrack feels much like a hearty stew – filling, and homely. It’s got the music of the mines, which can be terrifying, and then it has the poignant tones of those moments where emotions run high. It’s because of this range of music that has us very excited for the Stardew Valley Orchestral CD by VGM Classics, an American classical record label and publishing company.

Video game music has always had the power to touch us in the same way as mainstream songs. Hearing ‘To Zanarkand’ from Final Fantasy X is tear-jerker for some, whereas ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ from Bayonetta is the song to listen to in quiet, peaceful moments. No matter what sort of games you like, video game music has had an impact on you in some way or other.

Video game orchestras have also started to become more prominent, with the NieR concert in London being just one example of how music can draw people together. With that in mind, the Stardew Valley Orchestral CD may just be the thing we need to pull together and enjoy some great music together.

Having reached its initial Kickstarter goal of $1,500 for a medium album, VGM Classics is pushing for the stretch goal of $20,000 by May 12, 2020. This will give pledgers a full album with more music for you to enjoy.

You’ve got until May 12th of this year to throw your lot in behind this orchestral CD, so why not check out the Kickstarter for yourself and see what you think? We have a feeling you won’t regret it.
