Enter the Reveries is a mobile game where gay aesthetics shine

Mobile games always get an unfair rep in the gaming community, but we’ve found that these games aren’t as afraid to include more diverse representation. This is the case for Enter the Reveries, a side-scrolling platformer where art and technology are blended together to show off eight distinct art styles.

In the game, players will be able to take control of eight characters – also known as clumsies – and guide them through 24 beautiful stages. There will be the option to customize your Reveries too, and you’ll also be able to use Relics, items that can help boost you through the level. If you manage to get through the game, you’ll even be able to figure out the secrets and mythology behind Clowntown.

But hurry. The Melancholy is spreading throughout Clowntown and if you don’t stop it, then sadness will rule over all.

Enter the Reveries

Enter the Reveries provides innovative characters, storylines and mythology that allows players to have hours of fun. But, more importantly, it provides LGBT representation through two gay main characters and a storyline where gay art and aesthetics is celebrated without shame or prejudice.

Gary Adrian Randall, co-founder and chief creative officer behind Seagull Fish Entertainment, has stated that they want the company to be positioned as LGBT from the “get-go,” as well as an “inspiration to all the other little gay boys out there, growing up in small towns, who just dream about making money with their art.” With art as awesome as this, we feel like it’s going well so far.

Enter the Reveries is currently only available on the Apple app store, but it is completely free to play. If you’re interested, go on ahead and get playing!
