You can eat Baby Yoda now
We know, it’s unbelievable, what kind of sick joke is this? You can now eat the most adorable creature in sci-fi history? We’re just as shocked and appalled as you are. But worry not, we’re only talking about the Baby Yoda cake that has sprung up on Twitter.
SideSerf cakes came to Twitter in 2013, where the artist behind the cakes, Natalie Sideserf, created a cake that attracted the masses thanks to it being posted on Reddit. It was a post that would, inevitably, change her life as it led to a career that left many cake fans out there feeling pretty pleased whenever they ordered. Sideserf’s husband also joined the business a few years later, and as we can see from their YouTube channel, business seems to be booming.
Which brings us back to Baby Yoda, which was created in celebration of National Cake Day. As you know from our previous coverage, we’re mighty fond of this little alien, almost as much as the Mandalorian himself, so we were fascinated to see how he was created.
He’s adorable even in cake form, wouldn’t you say so? Just look at those big, gelatin eyes that you just want to eat…
Speaking of eating, that leads to the one bad side of SideSerf’s job – the eating of the cake. While that normally wouldn’t be too bad – who doesn’t want to eat Michael Myers face off after he killed your favourite canine, Lester the dog? – Baby Yoda is precious and doesn’t deserve this fate.
Well, all good things must come to an end, even if you’re Baby Yoda.
