Get out of the worst, accidentally demonic internship in Going Under

I had to fight through dozens of Evanescence articles to get here. Yes, we love you, Amy Lee, but we’re not talking about you right now.

Yesterday, game developer Team 17 announced the upcoming release of their newest title – Going Under. The dungeon crawler is being overlooked by other video game outlets right now, so I’m happy to bring this information to you. Let’s get into it!

Going Under looks to continue the legacy of using a strong female character pitted against diabolical foes. In the game, which releases in 2020, players take on the avatar of a young woman starting her first college internship. Thanks to a mysterious curse, the tech start-up falls into ruin and is quickly overrun by demons. You are one of the only survivors. Do you have what it takes to make it out alive?

Team 17 describes the game-play as: “The levels in the game combine fantasy dungeon archetypes with satirical start-up premises. You will spend time preparing for a quest in your workplace, the bright and bubbly Fizzle headquarters, before delving into the catacombs beneath in an attempt to vanquish various monsters.”

This title also makes a point of utilizing friends you meet in your quest to destroy the evil creatures as well as your ability to craft new weapons and use everyday items at your disposal. Hell, you even get a cactus as a projectile weapon! Part hack-and-slash, part dungeon crawler and part roguelite, Going Under is sure to be a game that gets better as you progress through its many levels.

Plus, bright colors are pretty…

Look for Going Under in 2020, coming to PC and all major consoles.
