CMSA eSports hosts 24 hour Extra Life Charity Stream
Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association (CMSA) eSports is bringing together the LGBTQ+ gaming community for a full day and night of gameplay, community events, and charitable fundraising with its annual 24 Hour Extra Life Charity Stream taking place this Saturday through Sunday (November 22-23).
All money raised during the event will support Lurie Children’s Hospital through Extra Life, the national program that unites gamers to help Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
This year’s marathon features a wide mix of games and hosts from across the CMSA eSports community. The event showcases queer talent, inclusive community spaces, and around the clock entertainment.
The schedule includes competitive titles like League of Legends and Deadlock, a session feature from the CMSA Dungeons and Dragons League, cozy games like A Short Hike, horror segments such as Silent Hill and Dead by Daylight, and several interactive community blocks including Jackbox Games and Blood on the Clocktower.
“CMSA eSports was built to create welcoming and joyful gaming spaces for LGBTQ+ players,” said the CMSA eSports Leadership Team. “Our Extra Life marathon is one of the most meaningful events of our year because it brings our entire community together for a cause that directly helps children and families.”
The marathon begins Saturday morning with Teamfight Tactics Set 16 at 9 AM and continues through major titles such as League of Legends, Dead by Daylight, and Deadlock. The whole stream can be found on the CMSA eSports Twitch channel.
The event concludes Sunday morning with A Short Hike at 8 AM on Sunday. All proceeds go directly toward supporting the lifesaving work at Lurie Children’s Hospital.
