Roots of Pacha heads to PlayStation and Switch
Stone Age civilization has never looked as appealing as it does with Soda Den’s Roots of Pacha.
Having released earlier this year on PC, the co-op farming and life simulation game set in the Stone Age is expanding its territory by venturing over to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 today. A new update to version 1.1 also arrives today for PC, Mac, Steam Deck, and Linux users.
Xbox players will also be able to get in on the Roots of Pacha fun soon enough too, with Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game arriving sometime in 2024.
With version 1.1 coming today to PC, PlayStation, and Switch, players can expect exciting new interactions and developments. For example, unlocking fresh cuisine by befriending fellow villagers, new cosmetics such as hats, furniture pieces, and accessories, and fascinating and memorable interactions and developments for your clan.
There will also be additional NPC cutscenes for players to unlock and new romance options. And, if you decide that the love of your life has become the bane instead, Soda Den has also added the option to divorce your spouse. Because hey, it’s the Stone Age, and you’ve both got better things to do than be stuck in a loveless marriage. Regardless of what sort of player you are, someone returning to the game after a while away, or someone just jumping in, Roots of Pacha will have something for everyone to enjoy.
Better yet, you don’t have to expand and lead the Pachan clan alone. You and up to 3 other players can work together to scout for resources and expand your influence and village, because there’s nothing more fun than discovering exciting new things together.
According to Soda Den, the release on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch and their version 1.1 update is only the start of their plans for future Roots of Pacha updates and quality of life improvements.
“Our story here is far from over,” Timothy Dadone Nasello, Co-Founder of Soda Den, says. “This version of the game opens up many new paths for players to take. We’re so thrilled to see which directions all the new villagers on Switch and PlayStation grow together. With more than 100,000 Pachans playing on Steam already, we’ve seen some beautiful villages out there already. Just wait until you see how we evolve the world next year.”
Roots of Pacha is now available to play on PC, Linux, Mac, PS4, PS5, and the Nintendo Switch.
