Hyper Luminal Games announces new game and indie publishing label
On Thursday, Hyper Luminal Games announced that it is launching a new publishing label called Little Nook. The first game going through this label will be Hyper Luminal’s own new project, Pine Hearts.
Hyper Luminal Games is a Scottish studio that has been working to support the games industry in this area. With Little Nook, they aim to create “home for all things cozy-gaming; filled with charming characters, strange new worlds, and heartfelt stories.” The studio has previously put out Big Crown: Showdown and its expansions, SEN: Seven, Eight, Nine, and are also currently working on Cloud Jumper.
“We wanted to make Little Nook to give our players a home for all things cozy-gaming. We see Little Nook as a whole world filled with charming characters, places to explore, stories to tell, and of course amazing games to lose yourself in,” Rob Madden, Creative Director and co-founder wrote in a press release.
For its part, Pine Hearts is an open-world puzzle game set in the sleepy Pine Hearts Caravan Park. Players explore this community while uncovering secrets, finding items, uncovering new paths, and more. According to its Steam page, “Pine Hearts takes the item-based progression of Zelda, combines it with Souls-like level design and wraps it all up in a Wholesome aesthetic with a focus on puzzles, not combat.”
Pine Hearts currently doesn’t have a release date, but is planned for Q1, 2024. Presumably, more details about the other projects Hyper Luminal Games and Little Nook are working on will be released in the near future.
