Cozy MMO Palia announces closed beta and new trailer
On Wednesday, developer Singularity 6 announced that its cozy MMO Palia is now available on PC via a closed beta. Players that want to get in on the action as soon as possible can create an account on Palia.com. Those with accounts will be given access to the closed beta on a rolling basis before the game’s open beta starts on August 10. The developers also released a new trailer for the game to tease the upcoming betas.
Players who create an account during the closed beta will also receive a special in-game decor item, Kilima Founder’s Windmill Decor. They will also be able to use the “refer-a-friend” feature, which allows players to earn additional in-game rewards by recommending the game to their friends.
In this game, players focus on building a cozy community with other players, rather than combat. You travel to a new fantasy world to build the house of your dreams and build relationships with various characters alongside your friends and players from around the world. Together, you’ll be able to hunt, fish, farm, decorate, cook, and more.
“We’ve spent years building towards this moment, pouring ourselves into Palia to create a new kind of community sim game that truly feels like a home away from home,” said Aidan Karabaich, Co-Founder and Game Director at Singularity 6 in a press release. “We see our beta period as the next step in a long-term process to create a game where you and your friends can easily play together, forget the stress of everyday life, and just have fun in your own way. We look forward to welcoming players into the cozy world of Palia and working with our awesome community to refine the game during the beta process and beyond.”
Registration for the game’s closed beta is now open via its website and will remain available until August 10, when Palia’s open beta will become available to the public. According to the developers, player feedback from these betas will be taken into account for the game’s final launch.
