Sometimes you just hit the age of 40 something and decide that you want to go on an adventure. That isn’t the case of Chester H. Smith, a middle-aged gentleman who finds himself in hot water when he finds himself in the company of two deadly, but very hot, vampires.
Panicked & Surrounded by Hot Vampires is a comedy, romantic visual novel from indie game developer Kristi Jimenez. Players will follow the story of 47-year old surveyor Chester. Chester is not only a sensitive fellow who finds himself in the midst of two immortal vampires, but he also has a lot of anxiety locked up in that frail, human body of his. So you see, the poor fella has a lot on his mind.
These vampires, and the love interests that players will get the chance to know more about as they play, are known as Viscardi and Dez – two very different vampires who don’t take too kindly to being snowed in with Chester when he comes around to survey their house.
But it isn’t all bad news. Despite the trio being totally unique from one another in various ways, players can guide Chester into a friendship – and more – with both of them if they so choose. If you’re not interested in a polyamorous route, however, there’s always the chance to get closer to the two of them separately.
Outside of romance, players will experience talks about life and death featuring eternal characters and a character who is running out of time.
The game also contains partial voice acting and 20,000 words of content for you to discover for yourself as you play. That includes five different endings (with 2 being bad ends depending on what choice you make), two love interests, as well a dyslexic-friendly font.
