Annapurna Interactive unveils Thirsty Suitors at The Game Awards
Annapurna Interactive and Outerloop Games, the developers behind Falcon Age, have unveiled the debut trailer for Thirsty Suitors – a stylish, story-driven adventure where messing with people’s hearts comes back to bite you in the butt.
Thirsty Suits follows protagonist Jala as she returns home for her sister’s wedding. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lot of downsides: her brutal breakup with her childhood best friend, a small town where gossip runs amok, a string of very peeved off exes, as well as her immigrant parents’ expectations – not including her interfering grandmother, who has actively begun to send suitors to her home in order to find her a match. Oh grandma!
With so much bad to be found in her past, players will have to help and guide Jala to confront her mistakes and make-up with her exes, all while reconciling cultural differences in order to help her become the person she was meant to be. Players will do this through different gameplay, with everything from RPG turn-based combat, to radical skateboarding sections, and intense, action-packed cooking sequences and challenges.
Annapurna Interactive has been the publisher behind some of the most innovative, culturally diverse games that we’ve been lucky to have, such as Sayonara Wild Hearts, Last Stop, and of course, 2021 Gayming Award’s Indie winner, If Found.
With Thirsty Suitors, it looks as though we’ll be seeing a game that focuses on a presumingly bisexual, Indian and female protagonist – a character that is unfortunately still a unique sight to see even in the year 2021.

Would it truly be The Game Awards if Annapurna Interactive didn’t unveil a game that immediately shot up to become one of our most anticipated games of 2022? Well played, well played indeed.
