Gay fantasy game The Alchemist set to launch in December

We all have our fantasies, and The Alchemist – a gay fantasy game from developer Azephir is more than keen to let us act on them.

As described via the game’s Kickstarter, The Alchemist is a “a gay medieval fantasy visual novel” where you play as an apprentice alchemist who is on a quest to fulfill their dreams. Joining them is a merchant caravan, made up of a variety of characters who you’ll not only be able to befriend, but get a lot closer to throughout. After all, nothing’s more intense than a passionate romance!

You’ll have 4 romanceable characters to choose from: Will, the caravan scout who seems to be a little wild but has a different side to him that you’ll need to explore for yourself; Sulivan, a shy and introverted bard that wants his music to be known by all; Nath, the mage of the caravan who is sociable while still being a prankster, and Duran, the caravan’s flirty mercenary guard that seems to want nothing but to get in your pants.

Outside of your romance options, which can take a turn into the erotic if you play your cards right, you’ll be making some hard, but meaningful choices whilst trying to balance the ongoing hostilities between two neighbouring kingdoms. Talk about being stuck in between a rock and a hard place.

Features include:

  • 4 romanceable character + 1 secret
  • Meaningful choices for 15 love endings, 6 profession endings, 3 world events endings
  • More than 65,000 words
  • Erotic love scenes that’ll please the eye (and whatever else)

The release date for The Alchemist is currently set for mid-December – so keep an eye out on our LGBTQ+ Games of 2021 list for more details!

If you’re hankering at the bit to play the game already though, then you can check out the demo of The Alchemist over on itch.io.
