Sony is Offering Free Games for its Play At Home Initiative
The world may seem awful right now, and if we’re being honest, it is, but you’ve got to find something to pass the time and well, Sony is offering a way to help sort out your boredom. That’s right, thanks to Sony and their Play at Home initiative, free games will be coming your way sometime soon.
The Play at Home initiative was unveiled Tuesday morning (via The Hollywood Reporter) is Sony’s way to help usher players to stay home, and lose themselves in the numerous worlds that video games have on offer.
“Play At Home has two components: first, providing free games to help keep the PlayStation community entertained at home; and finally, establishing a fund to help smaller independent game studios who may be experiencing financial difficulties continue building great experiences for all gamers,” said Sony CEO’s, Jim Ryan in a blog post.
“To support Play At Home, PlayStation will try to make those occasionally dull moments more exciting by offering Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey available for free for a limited time through digital downloads from April 15 at 8pm PDT through May 5, 2020 at 8pm PDT Once you redeem the games, they are yours to keep.”
These two games are a lot of good fun, however if you’re based in Germany or China, you’ll instead get Knack 2 rather than Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. Regardless, Sony are offering free games on a platter and we, for one, are more than eager to get stuck in.
