Confetti’s Cozy Corner: Highlights from the Wholesome Snack Showcase!

The 2025 Wholesome Snack Showcase presented by Wholesome Games was a splendid bite-sized delight of amazing world premieres, trailers, and upcoming releases. There was a range of games presented, from life-sims, rhythm games, puzzle games, and more.

The direct run lasted about forty-five minutes and showcased 20 game announcements. Here are the titles that I am personally looking forward to:

Thrifty Business

From the creators of Sticky Business comes a brand-new title: Thrifty Business. Own and run your own 90s era Thrift shop, get to know your customers, and decorate it with nostalgic items such as clothes, antiques, and more. Befriend the regulars and become the coolest spot in town. Spellgarden Games are well known for their inclusivity and queer representation, and I cannot wait to play this title in 2026.

Coffee Talk Tokyo

We got a new glimpse at Chorus World Wide Games & Toge Productions, Coffee Talk Tokyo! Experience the warmth, connection, and interesting conversations in a new cafe located in Tokyo. Your clientele will consist of humans and yokai while serving warm drinks and getting to know everyone with twists and turns we’ve come to expect in the Coffee Talk franchise. Never-before-seen gameplay showed a vibrant cast of characters and wholesome interactions that definitely left audiences wanting more. Coffee Talk Tokyo releases on all platforms on March 5, 2026, with the Deluxe Edition including Prologue and City Pop Album.

Restory

It’s the mid-2000s, in Tokyo, Japan, and you run a rustic electronic repair shop. Restory is a relaxing, shop management sim where choices matter. You restore customers’ nostalgic electronics to their former glory and learn more about them and their lives. Cleaning, restoration games are calming and rewarding. Seeing devices inspired by nostalgic tech warmed my heart and made me excited for this game’s release on Steam in 2026.

Fishbowl

This narrative game follows Alo, who reflects on her childhood as she moves to a new city and grieves her grandmother’s death. Fishbowl has themes of grief, hope, and the freedom of dreams. Explore Alo’s memories, play mini games through slice-of-life elements. This is a journey of self-discovery as you take one task at a time to make it through the day. Alo, during the day, is a video editor, so players will not only experience her past but also perform daily tasks while trying to stay afloat from lingering grief and loneliness. Reflecting on the past will help Alo in the present, and this is a journey I cannot wait to experience. Fishbowl releases in April 2026 for Steam and PlayStation 5.

Wylde Society

Last but definitely not least, we have an extended look at Wylde Society. The story centers on Vivian Wylde as she builds a magical boarding house. Not only do we get to see more of the early days of the magical society of Fairhaven, but we also see some characters we are familiar with, such as a young Peri. Immediately, we see amazing queer representation, beautiful environments, and decoration/town-building mechanics that make me more than excited for this title to release. Wylde Flowers’ story was not only joyful, cozy, and fun but also handled serious topics throughout the story that left a lasting impression on gamers. I have high hopes for Wylde Society and the lessons we will take from their experiences.

This week, there are many showcases, including The Game Awards, that not only celebrate games released throughout 2025 but also what’s to come. Wholesome Games in collaboration with Humble Bundle featured a Wholesome Snack 2025 Game bundle featuring titles such as On Your Tail, Botany Manor, and Spirittea when you pay $12 or more.

Pay what you want, and funds go to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Wholesome Snack presented comforting games of a range of genres for gamers to look forward to, while also encouraging awareness of the issues many marginalized communities face in the real world.
