Gayming Awards 2024 airs on June 25th as part of IGN’s Summer of Gaming
Now in its fourth year, the Gayming Awards, the world’s only LGBTQ video game award show, has confirmed today that it will air on June 25th, 2024, as part of IGN’s Summer of Gaming, hosted by DEERE and MiladyConfetti.
The ceremony will be broadcast across IGN’s channels and on Gayming Magazine’s Twitch, YouTube and TikTok channels at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm UK.
At the Gayming Awards 2024, the prestigious Gayming Icon Award will be presented to Jeremy Crawford. Jeremy is the lead rules designer of Dungeons & Dragons at Wizards of the Coast. He is the lead designer of the new 2024 Player’s Handbook, and he led the design of Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, Monsters of the Multiverse, and the 2014 Player’s Handbook. He has also co-authored numerous other D&D books since joining Wizards in 2007. Jeremy is also one of the Dungeon Masters of the live-play show Acquisitions Incorporated, and he was included in Out Magazine’s Out100 for 2021.
The LGBTQ Streamer Rising Star Class of 2024 celebrates up-and-coming queer content creators who are making their mark in the streaming world. This year, the Class includes Twitch streamers DEVOGLAER, PearlTeese, SimplyAretha, Sukar Baba, and sinarynn. They will benefit from a major prize package from sponsor Logitech, as well as other prizes!
Viewers will also be able to see who wins in nine other categories including the brand-new LGBTQ Geek Entertainment Moment of the Year Award where The Last of Us, Doctor Who, Harley Quinn, Nimona, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, and The Legend of Vox Machina are nominated. The show is being produced by the creative powerhouse of Nathan Noyes and Ian Devoglaer (The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula) and will include a Spanish language co-stream on TikTok and a captioned stream on YouTube, greatly increasing the accessibility of the Gayming Awards.
