Insomnia Gaming Festival brings the return of the Valorant Women’s Cup

If you’ve ever felt that you were the master when it comes to Riot’s Valorant, then you may just want to head down to the Insomnia Gaming Festival at the end of March.

Player1 Events, leaders in creating immersive experiences designed to bring people together, is inviting gamers to sign up for the UK’s biggest weekend of esport tournaments, such as the Valorant Women’s Cup, presented by EE and GIANTX.

Taking place at the Birmingham NEC from March 28th to April 1st, the Valorant’s Women’s Cup offers attendees the chance to win something from the huge £10,000 prize pool.

The tournament will see up to multiple teams face off once again in a bid to be crowned the Valorant Women’s Cup champion. Promising to be an unmissable contest, The Valorant Women’s Cup will be joined by a mixed Valorant iSeries Open, a tournament open to all over 16 years of age. With teams of 5 players engaging in 5v5 competition, a prize pool of £5,000 will be won at the show.

But don’t worry: there’s still plenty of opportunities for other gamers across a variety of genres to get in on the action. For example, Counter-Strike fans will be well catered for at Insomnia with the always-popular Counter-Strike 2 iSeries Open. A firm favourite with fans of the event, Counter-Strike has been part of Insomnia for 20 years, remaining as popular as it ever was and with no signs of slowing down! With a 5v5 format featuring teams of 5 players, the Counter-Strike 2 iSeries Open can be entered by anyone 16 years or over.

There’s also something out there for Overwatch 2 fans. Indeed, Overwatch 2 joins the iSeries Open roster, and a hefty £3,000 is up for grabs in a traditional 5v5 format. Casual Overwatch 2 Cups will be open to visitors over the age of 12 and run daily in the Daily Tournament Zone.

Alongside the previously announced tournaments, there will also be a Rocket League and League of Legends iSeries Open, with the former promising a prize pool of £2,000 and the latter a pool of £3,000. No matter what you’re into, participating will offer up the chance for some cash in your back pocket. What’s not to love about that?

Commenting on the series of tournaments scheduled for i72, Mussarat Rahman, Head of Marketing at Player1 Events commented, “We constantly strive to outdo ourselves in support of the ever-evolving world of esports. Insomnia72 is set to showcase the very essence of our dedication to the community, offering a jam-packed programme that celebrates the spirit of competitive gaming. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a passionate newbie, the show promises to be a weekend of unforgettable action for every kind of player.”

Those interested in becoming winners can sign up for the Insomnia Gaming Festival today, though be aware that those looking to sign up will need to purchase an LAN ticket in order to participate.
