The original Life is Strange hits 20 million players

Last week, it was revealed that the original Life is Strange game has reached 20 million players.

On November 23, the official Life is Strange Twitter account announced that they were grateful for the overwhelming number of players who have ventured into the small town of Arcadia Bay alongside protagonist Max Caulfield and her best friend (and girlfriend), Chloe Price!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 8 years since the original Life is Strange released, thrusting players into a world of mystery, time-loops, and the story of a missing girl called Rachel Amber. Since then, the series has grown massively, with games like the prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm, the sequel and spin-off Life is Strange 2, and Life is Strange: True Colors.

It’s also done well in the realm of books and comics too. Max and Chloe got their own comic series in 2018, with many new and familiar faces like Rachel Amber and Victoria Chase. The series spanned five published novels and twenty-three issues.

More recently, Alex Chen, the more recent protagonist in the Life is Strange series, is getting a comic series with Forget-Me-Not in December this year. It’s safe to say that, as far as this series goes, Life is Strange continues to win the hearts and minds of gamers from all around the world thanks to its wonderfully queer characters and stories.

There’s no news of future Life is Strange games on the horizon, but that shouldn’t stop you from picking up the original game and its many successors on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and even the Nintendo Switch.
