Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island release date revealed for 2024

The release date for Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island has been revealed today by publisher Whitethorn Games and developer Polygon Treehouse.

Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island is a non-linear narrative and adventure game where players take on the role of Alex, a backpacker who washes up on the shores of Ambrosia Island after a terrible storm. She soon discovers that this new place is actually the long-lost home of the Greek gods, all of which have their own hang-ups and issues — the main one being that they can’t remember anything about themselves, leaving Alex in the lurch. What was supposed to be a relaxing holiday has instead turned into a nightmare.

Unable to find her way home, Alex must explore and discover new things about the island — all while helping her new Greek god besties.

And eager players won’t have to wait too long. The narrative adventure game (which has been described as a “friend ’em up” experience) is set to release on PC and consoles in the summer of 2024.

“We put a lot of ourselves into our games, and Mythwrecked is very close to our hearts. We want to make sure the game lives up to its potential, and we put the best possible version of the game into the hands of players,” said Alex Kanaris-Sotiriou, Director and Lead Developer at Polygon Treehouse.

He continued, “we’ve been thrilled to showcase Mythwrecked at prestigious events like LudoNarraCon and The Future Games Show and the response has been amazing, from both players and press. People are always surprised how tiny the team at Polygon Treehouse is, and by moving the release to next year we can make sure that we put the best possible version of the game into the hands of players, and also enjoy the journey ourselves. We’re stoked to have the support and belief of the awesome folks from Whitethorn Games backing us and can’t wait to show more of the game in the coming months.”

Mark the Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island release date down in your calendars: Summer 2024 for PC and consoles.
