Fields of Mistria comes to PC in 2024
Fields of Mistria, a new life-sim RPG from NPC Studio, is set to release in 2024.
The farming sim genre has become something of a haven for LGBTQ+ players, a loving and comfortable break from reality that thrusts those who need it into a rural paradise. We’ve had Story of Seasons, Wylde Flowers, and of course, the phenomenal Stardew Valley. Fields of Mistria is no exception to this.
Described as having a world “brimming with possibilities”, Fields of Mistria was revealed to be heading to the PC in 2024 during Summer Game Fest’s Wholesome Direct 2023. In a brand new trailer, we got to see a touch of magic, romance, and adventure alongside a visual style that feels nostalgic, even at first glance.
A spiritual successor to the farm-sim RPGs of the late 90s and onward, Fields of Mistria includes the following features:
- Customization of your character and farm
- 30+ villagers for you to get to know
- 12 marriage candidates
- Magic that will help in farming and adventuring
- Adorable animals to raise and breed
- Farming, fishing, mining and crafting
- Quests, festivals, and changing villager outfits
- Epic battles and treasure
Alongside these interesting features that are a staple to the farming sim genre, Fields of Mistria also includes a score from a very familiar and talented musician: Undertale’s Toby Fox.
And just in case anyone is wondering, it has been confirmed that there will be same-sex marriage options. So everyone can find the person of their dreams, regardless who you are.
