Rainbow 6 Siege Rainbow Is Magic event returns
Ubisoft has brought the Rainbow Is Magic event back to tactical, first-person shooter Rainbow Six Siege, which will be available from March 29 – April 19. This is the third iteration of this limited-time event, and will bring a new limited-time game mode, an updated map, and special, event-themed collection packs for players to delve into.
The new game mode coming with this year’s Rainbow is Magic event is called Bop the Teddy. In it, players have to protect their friendly Mr. Bear, while trying to take out the other team’s version. Bop the Teddy is played on an updated version of the Presidential Plane map, which Ubisoft assures is still comical. Operators have infinite respawns in this mode, and are split into new archetypes that have specific grenades and abilities. These are classified as follows:
- Speedy: Remah Dash ability and Stun Teddy Bear grenade
- Stronk: Shield and Smoke Teddy Bear grenade
- Flexy: Adrenal Surge ability and Explosive Teddy Bear grenade
Two Operators who will be new to the Rainbow Is Magic festivities this year are attacking Operator Buck, and defender Kaid. Sledge and Thatcher are veterans who will also return to the event this year.
Those who login during this event will automatically receive one free Rainbow is Magic collection pack. To earn more, you will need to participate in and complete weekly challenges. These packs include both new and returning cosmetic items for R6 Siege. Players will be able to purchase additional packs with either Renown or R6 Credits. Bundles for other Operators, like Blackbeard, Smoke, Montagne, and Tachanka will also be available during this event.
Rainbow Six Siege and its Rainbow is Magic event are available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, including via Ubisoft+. A new Operator, Brava, recently joined the fray, so it’s a great time to jump in.
