Dating-action game Eternights to release this Summer
Eternights, an action game from Studio Sai, which blends dating and real-time combat, is set to release this Summer.
The game was previously shown in June last year during Sony’s State of Play. What we saw was a blend of slice-of-life dating with clear inspiration from the Persona series, mixed with a tense, but atmospheric apocalyptic backdrop. What started the apocalypse is unknown, only that one day something, or someone, has turned humans into dangerous monsters. These monsters want nothing but violence and power.
The monsters and surreal enemies you encounter are the only thing standing in the player’s way of finding a cure. Players will have to brave dungeons and fight, exploiting enemy weaknesses through elemental attacks, dodging and unleashing powerful attacks. There will also be puzzles and traps that players will have to deal with.
In this new Spring Update trailer shown via Sony’s Indie PlayStation blog, Eternights’ combat is put center stage. You can see the full trailer below.
Alongside battle, players will be able to take the time out of their day to meet up with their companions and get to know them. In more ways than one.
The dating aspect of Eternights also seems to share inspiration with Persona, with there seemingly being a set amount of time – so players will have to spend it wisely. Not only will they be fighting to survive, but fighting to save the people they love.
And, because we know you’re going to ask, there is a gay romance option available in Eternights. Gaymers, rejoice!
Eternights will be available for the PS5/PS4, and PC via Epic Games Store and PC in Summer 2023.
