Trick or treat yourself with the Queer Halloween Stories Bundle
October is only a few days away, which means spooky season is pretty much upon us. And what better way to celebrate that delicious fact by supporting queer indie games and their developers. That’s where the Queer Halloween Stories Bundle comes in.
Hosted on itch.io by queer indie studio tofurocks and their publishing branch Project Ensō, the Queer Halloween Stories Bundle will feature 16 games from 14 developers from across the globe.
“It’s time to let the skeletons out of the closet in all of their gay glory and tell a few horror stories around the campfire.” Reads the description of the bundle page. “In the mood for something lighthearted, heart-warming, heart-wrenching, or downright scary? No tricks here: this bundle of indie games will treat you to little bit of everything, and your purchase directly supports 14 queer indie developers telling these kinds of stories you won’t find anywhere else.
All other bundle participants who opted in to receive a split of the funds, besides the host, start earning money from every purchase at the start of the sale. Our initial goal on the itch.io page is to sell at least 137 bundles at the minimum price, or raise $2740 USD, in order for the host to recoup the costs of commissioning the promotional art. Upon reaching this goal, other bundle participants who have opted in for a split of the funds will have earned about $215 USD at this point. Any additional sales thereafter will continue to help these developers break even on development costs.”

The bundle can be purchased for $20 will go live on October 1. The sales period will end a month later, November 1.
