OlliOlli World gets an OXENFREE crossover
On Thursday, Private Division and Roll7 announced that they are collaborating with Night School Studio for a crossover between OlliOlli World and OXENFREE to celebrate the recent release of the OlliOlli World: VOID Riders DLC. This DLC is available digitally on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
VOID Riders brings aliens firmly into the fiction of OlliOlli World. Extraterrestrial visitors Sair’Rah, Khehvyn, and Pftangxi have come to Radlandia to find good skater specimens for the Nebulord VOID Riders. The DLC adds extra levels to three OlliOlli world biomes, ending with a special challenge related to one of the visiting aliens.
The crossover itself is a remix of OXENFREE’s “Beacon Beach” song and a costume of the other game’s protagonist, Alex. Players can access this crossover content via the Gnarvana Portal. By entering the postcode MV32FR33 in the Gnarvana Portal, players will be able to grind to the new version of Nikitch of scntfc’s “Beacon Beach” and shred while dressed up as Alex.
The access code for this content was originally embedded into a recent OlliOlli World video and Instagram Live broadcast via morse code. OXENFREE is a game all about solving mysteries via puzzles and codes, so this fits with the game’s themes. There was even an ARG dedicated to solving the ghostly messages within it. Its sequel was recently shown off at the Tribeca Games Spotlight, and the press release for this crossover event hints that there may be other hidden content on the other OXENFREE social media accounts.
