Garden Story is coming to Game Pass

On Tuesday, the developers behind Garden Story announced that the 2021 title is coming to Game Pass for Xbox and PC on July 12. The game has been available on Nintendo Switch and Steam for PC and Mac since August of last year and was part of past Wholesome Directs, but now players with access to Microsoft’s gaming subscription service will be able to follow Concord on their grand adventure.

Garden Story is a pixel-art, action role-playing game from Picogram where your protagonist is Concord, a cute little walking, talking grape. They have been designated the new guardian of their home, The Grove, which has slowly fallen into disrepair thanks to the steady creep of a dangerous rot. But Concord is the youngest grape in the village, fresh off the vine, and many wonder if they really have what it takes to re-build the community. But with the help of local friends like Rana, Elderberry, and Fuji, players guide Concord along the path to success.

You traverse the island Concord and their friends live on, repairing damage, fighting back the rot, and making the community more livable for everyone. The main goal is to use the materials you find to help repair parts of villages and to restore social ties to unite the communities against the rot. As you aid others and make your home safer, your neighbors start to offer you help in return. That said, it’s not all work and no play. Concord can also cultivate gardens and libraries, all while enjoying nice music in the lush environment of the island.

Now Xbox Game Pass subscribers on both Xbox consoles and PC will be able to experience Concord’s journey with their friends, starting July 12.
