Acend Club announces Valorant Game Changers roster Acend Rising

On Thursday, Acend Club – the current world champions of Tier 1 Valorant – announced their entrance into the Game Changers scene with a new roster, Acend Rising, by signing the former UNtapped roster. UNtapped were one of the top six teams in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Game Changers region before signing with Acend.

The new Acend Rising roster consists of five women players from across Europe who formerly played together as unsigned team UNtapped. These include:

  • Amy (sentinel) – France
  • Jade “jade” Duffy (duelist) – Scotland
  • Lada “h6tedthemost” Kozhemyakina (controller) – Russia
  • Annika “mediKa” Lambertz (captain, initiator) – Germany
  • Samantha “Samsi” Caddell (sentinel) – Germany

Their coach is former professional PUBG: Battlegrounds player Kris “CloudTail” Saia of Estonia.

Acend Rising achieved top-six standing in EMEA Game Changers as UNtapped multiple times, taking home third place twice. According to VLR.gg, they currently sit at number 22 on the Game Changers rankings, with 18 wins, nine losses, and a rating of 1638. By signing with Acend, the roster hope to reach even greater potential together.

“Joining Champions to become Champions #RiseUp,” mediKa tweeted about the announcement.

“So proud to join such a respected name in VALORANT <3,” Jade tweeted. “More than ever, time to show what I can do!”

“Really grateful for this opportunity with this amazing org and being able to play with my favorite girls,” Amy wrote.

Acend Rising will take on the likes of SuperMassive Blaze, Guild X, G2 Gozen, and Tenstar Nova during their next VCT EMEA Game Changers run. The team will have their sights set on making it to the Game Changers Championship tournament in Berlin, Germany this November. With an organization behind them, the next item on their hitlist will likely be securing an international LAN title. It won’t be easy, as they have fierce competition from their own region, and from abroad with the likes of North America’s Cloud9 White.
