Flick Solitaire is getting a ‘Tides of Pride’ deck for Pride Month
Flick Solitaire from Flick Games is celebrating this June in style with the release of a Pride deck, titled ‘Tides of Pride.’
Flick Solitaire is exactly what it says on the tin, but instead of just your general, old card game that you can find on your PC, you’ll instead be treated to beautiful card variants, as well as ASMR sounds that are said to make each game feel more relaxing than the last. Oh, and it’s also free to play.
The Android page describes Flick Solitaire as “the classic card game re-imagined for touch.” Instead of pulling and dragging, players have a unique “FLICK” action that allows them to feel like they are handling real cards through both touch and sound.
Flick Solitaire has previously done other deck variants, such as a Drag deck that Robin Gray described as “stunningly queer.” However this time around, Flick Solitaire is focusing on a Pride deck that highlights the range of identities that are to be found within the LGBTQ+ community.
Flick Solitaire has made sure that the card art for their decks is designed by diverse, independent and global artists. The artist behind the ‘Tides of Prick’ deck is Karin Hammarsten.
“As an LGBTQ+ founder, diversity is super important to me and it has been a mission for Flick to commission and feature diverse talented artists from around the world,” Ian Masters, CEO of Flick Games, tells us.
The ‘Tides of Pride’ deck will release on Flick Solitaire on June 1 for both Android and iOS.
