Tales of Crestoria to shut down in February 2022

Tales of Crestoria, a free Tales Of mobile game from KLab Games and Bandai Namco, have announced today that the app will shut down in February next year.

Speculation about the game’s closure arose last week when fans noticed that the game’s gacha summons and monthly events had not been updated. Fans also noticed that the raids and memoria stone quests had been made significantly easier to complete, signaling that Tales of Crestoria’s end of service (EOS) was in sight.

Unfortunately, that speculation has now been confirmed as a fact today, with the announcement being revealed via the in-game message board, as well as Twitter.

The full message about the game’s closure reads:

“We regret to announce the closure of Tales of Crestoria. Thank you all for your support and we hope you enjoyed playing. We will be keeping the servers open until February 6th, 2022 9:00PM PST, so please continue to enjoy Tales of Crestoria until the very end.”

“All items can be used until the last day, so if you have any items or Gleamstones in your account, please use them before February 6th, 2022. Also, from today, we are disabling the purchases of Gleamstones.”

The shut down of Tales of Crestoria also means the game will not progress further in-game than the currently released Chapter 10, meaning that as of now, the story following Kanata and his friends on their quest to rid the world of Vision Orbs and Enforcers has come to an end with no real resolution for fans who have been playing the same since it first released.

However, the Tales of Crestoria team have stated that they are “currently considering other mediums through which to bring the story to its fans.” However, as of now, there is no news on how the team are working to bring the adventures of Kanata and his friends to a new stage of life.
