Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep releases for free on PC
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is set to release next year in March, but to keep us ticking over until then, 2K Games and Gearbox Software have announced the release of Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure.
Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep will be familiar to Borderland 2 players, as this old, critically acclaimed and fan-favourite quest was well-loved back when it was first released in 2013.
Players will join queer icon Tiny Tina as she takes on the illustrious, but difficult role of the Bunker Master, someone who sets the scene and guides their players on their adventure for glory and riches in the tactical, role-playing game known as Bunkers and Badasses. If it sounds a little similar to Dungeons and Dragons then well, you’re probably just imagining it.
Much like Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep offers players the chance to jump into a fantastical world full of castles, dungeons, magic forests and as you could probably already tell by the name, dragons. It isn’t all about looting and shooting these winged beasts though, because Tina has a whole quest cooked up about revenge and redemption.
More importantly, back when the add-on for Borderlands 2 was first released, it shifted the series into something completely new.
“With the original Dragon’s Keep, not only did we introduce an entirely new genre into the critically acclaimed Borderlands series, we created and developed some of Gearbox’s most impressive gameplay and storytelling,” says Randy Pitchford, the executive producer on Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. “I am thrilled for Tiny Tina’s original adventure to be readily available for a new generation of players, and also for long-time fans to come back to where the story started and once-again experience the magic that inspired Wonderlands.”
Players looking to experience the game on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC via Steam will be able to purchase this adventure for £7.99. For gamers on the Epic Games Store though, you’ll be able to get this standalone adventure for free until November 16!
